Summer Spotlight - 2018 Bailey Unicorn Seville
2018 Range, Bailey, Unicorn, Seville, Two Berth, High End Model, Single Axle
During the Summer Months, we are going to be taking a closer look at a selection of caravans made by various manufacturers, focussing on a variety of models to highlight the diverse options available.
It's beautiful weather outside, so why not take a trip to Seville...
This Bailey Unicorn Seville is the perfect all year round two-berth tourer.
This week, we are going to be switching our Summer Spotlight on, lighting up the brand new 2 Berth 2018 Bailey Unicorn Seville in all its glory – and it certainly is glorious. This top of the range model has had a few changes from its previous year’s editions, to modernise and update the feel of the van. When you step into the Seville the first thing you will notice is the sophisticated L-shaped rear kitchen, instead of a rear washroom.
Some pleasant additions to the kitchen area include a “hob cover”, this gives you extra workspace for washing up or cooking when you are not using the gas hob, and an elegant ‘Unicorn’ splashback. These changes have been readily welcomed by the caravan community. When the sun goes down the underfloor lighting in the kitchen will help set a relaxing mood, before you hit the hay for the night.
With many sites offering shower facilities, this was a change made to fit in with the times. The washroom is still large enough to provide a decent sized shower, however, if you are looking for an unconventional use of these facilities Bailey have also put a fold down towel rail in the shower. This can now be your airing cupboard on the move, keeping your belongings dry.
Technology has advanced a lot in the last couple of years, and with many phones and tablets having USB cables as a means of charging, it made sense for Bailey to add in these functional features to the new Seville. Tucked away in the dimmable 12v spotlights at the front of the caravan, the USB points are placed perfectly allowing for adults and children alike to read books on their Kindle late into the night or to Facebook their friends a picture of that fantastic BBQ you just had together. Accompanied by the handy suede effect storage pockets on the walls, you are able to pop your phone or tablet away on charge and continue your holiday worry free knowing your device is ready to go when you are.
Seeing as we are at the front of the caravan, let us focus in on the seating and upholstery options. For some caravanners, this means everything, especially in a 2 berth caravan. Bailey have removed the pot shelf along the front windows in the Seville this year, which means that the already generously long seating area, just got longer still. This allows you to relax even further as you get cosy for the evening, without worrying about knocking your feet.
As with other years, Bailey have given you the chance to customise your caravan with two choices of upholstery, for this season, Finsbury and Brompton. Brompton is the standard option for the Unicorn range, featuring mocha and duck egg blue tones. This is a great practical option; being a slightly darker tone it hides any accidents a bit better - perfect for those with grandchildren. However, if you choose to upgrade, the Finsbury option features cream and lilac shades, providing a light and airy feel to the caravan. With a more floral display on the curtains, this layout is also perfect for the warm weather, complimenting the natural surroundings found on any good caravan pitch.
You don’t have to worry when winter rolls around with the Unicorn range, as it features the Alde heating system. This is a wet central heating system that works very similarly to the heating you would have at home, pumping antifreeze and hot water around the caravan to a series of radiator boxes. It really does allow for all season caravanning, providing a nice even heat across the caravan. It also has many functions, like ‘night mode’ where the caravan will maintain a temperature throughout the night so you don’t get cold, and a mode where you can tell the caravan to start heating up at 4pm, so when you come home at 5pm is all toasty and ready for a cosy evening of board games etc…
Stepping outside the Seville, you will find a whole host of features that complement the high level of specification found inside the caravan.
One of these subtle improvements is the sleek, jet black, full-width rear grab handle, which not only adds to the contemporary feel to the exterior of the caravan but is also a great functional asset, giving you much more manoeuvrability when manually handling the van.
On the near side, you find an external gas BBQ point, conveniently located towards the front of the caravan; a feature which is for so many caravans an optional extra but has always come as a standard feature with the top-class Unicorn range. On the gloss black A-Frame cover, the Alko ATC LED sensor sits happily ready to do its job - making your towing experience steadier by monitoring and adjusting excess tow movement as you go.
Security is at the heart of this model. New for this season the Seville now comes with an intruder alarm, controlled easily by a key fob, and the Tracker unit has been updated, from the Retrieve system to the Monitor system. The caravan is monitored periodically throughout the day, so you can be assured that your home from home is safe wherever it is parked. The Tracker Monitor system comes with a free 3 month trial period and following this period is a subscription service. Paired with one of the best wheel locks in the market, the Alko Secure, which also comes as standard with the Seville, this caravan offers top-notch security features.
The battery box is unconventionally found inside the caravan, in a special floor mounted box, with trapdoor lid. Located towards the centre of the chassis, this modification also offers better stability whilst towing. This is also counterbalanced by the position of the fridge. Another bonus of an interior battery box is that in adverse weather, you are able to safely attend to your battery if needs be. To keep your battery topped up, whether on-site or in storage, this Bailey Unicorn Seville has a factory fitted 100-watt Truma solar panel, which would normally cost in the region of £500 as an extra.
The 2018 Bailey Unicorn Seville, which we have in stock, would usually retail at £22,964. However, for a limited time only, you can pick up this model with all its fantastic features for a super summer price of £20,995, whilst stocks last. This model is on display on our forecourt, so feel free to drop in and see this stylish 2 Berth for yourself, and to ask us any further questions you may have.
