If you choose a VW camper, you’re choosing the lifestyle as much as the vehicle itself. VWs are cool, practical, comfortable and compact, making them the ideal leisure vehicle for those wishing to move around with ease on their adventures.

One of the key things to ensuring that your campervan trip goes smoothly is being kitted out with the most suitable equipment and accessories, taking space and usability into consideration. Not only do things have to be practical, they have to look good too, but rest assured pretty much anything VW-related ticks that box!

Awnings

Vango makes driveaway awnings specifically suited to VW campervans. These awnings are quick and easy to put up and easy to detach when you want to go out for the day, To do this, you’ll need to purchase a drive-away kit, which will enable you to detach the tunnel area of your awning from your vehicle and roll it away leaving your awning free-standing. Not only is this convenient, but it’ll also save your pitch until you return!

There are three options when it comes to models - the Galli III Air Low, the Cove II Air and the Tolga Air.

The Galli is suited to campervans with a vehicle/rail height between 180-210cm. Measuring 465cm x 320cm, it boasts large amounts of space and a sheltered porch area out the front. With inflatable technology this awning is easy to put up and completely stress-free. Other top features include TBS®II Tension Band System, pre angled beams which give greater internal space, easy access doors, skylight windows and sewn-in groundsheet.

The Cove is a front-facing inflatable awning meaning that it is positioned the same way as your campervan, giving you a better view and more privacy. The AirBeams® ensure a strong and rigid structure which is quick and easy to pitch and the AirSpeed® Valve System makes inflation even easier. Measuring 320cm x 310cm, it has a range of other features including strong, waterproof Sentinel Active Fabric, AirZone™ Ventilation, a sewn-in groundsheet, pre angled beams, TBS®II Tension Band System and a mesh front door to keep bugs out.

Using Vango's AirBeam® Technology,the Tolga is simple and fast to inflate and it utilises Vango's Sentinel Sport fabric with ColourLok™ technology to reduce the effects of UV on your awning. Measuring 320cm x 320cm, the Tolga has a handy covered entrance which provides additional living space for relaxing in the shade or sheltering from the rain. Other features include AirSpeed® Valve System, TBS®II Tension Band System for enhanced performance in all weather conditions, secondary mesh doors, sewn-in groundsheet and pre angled beams.

Screens, blinds and mattresses

With more practical thoughts in mind, check out the External Blackout Screen, which is suitable for VW T5 and T6 campervans. It is easy to fit and has a quality 4-layer construction, waterproof wipe clean material and keeps the campervan cool in the summer and warm in the winter! 

We also stock an Internal Thermal Blind, which is suitable for VW T5 and T6s. It  has a quality 5-ply construction and it too has warming and cooling qualities. It is part of a 3-piece set which includes 1 front windscreen and 2 side window blinds. They are fixed with suction cups and come with a carry bag for compact storage. 

The Vango California Mattress is ideal for adding extra comfort to your campervan beds. The 5cm Easy-Compress Foam makes it comfy yet  easy to pack away. Measures 190cm x 100cm and comes with a handy carry bag.

 

Rugs

Rugs can be practical or decorative or a bit of both! We have options to suit either camp, with our fun surfboard-shape VW rug which will brighten up the floor of your van or even your living room at home, or our practical rectangular rug to protect your van flooring.The surfboard rug measures 50cm x 100cm and comes in a range of colours and the rectangular rug measures 60cm x 80cm and also offers a variety of colours to choose from.

 

Homeware

When it comes to homeware we have plenty of VW-themed options to choose from! From mugs and coasters, to salt and pepper shakers and even a cool-looking cool bag!

 

Chairs

We have a range of VW chairs for kids and adults alike, all of which fold up to a very compact size, making them easy to transport. We have blue and pink kids camping chairs, a comfy blue moon chair, a deluxe padded red chair with a cup holder and a vintage design festival camping chair.

 

Beach items

What better place to look VW-cool than on the beach? We have camper-themed kids beach towels in stock. Measuring 70cm x 150cm, they’re made from polyester microfibre which means they’re lightweight, super soft and very quick drying. We also have kids’ VW towel ponchos, which measure 120 x 60cm and are 100% polyester microfibre as well. They’re perfect for slipping over their heads after a dip and give privacy when changing out of swimwear too.

 

Leisure items

Have fun VW-style with our skimboard and skateboard! The VW 41” Sunset Skimboard features unique, colourful Volkswagen designs and its shape is ideal for beginners. Measuring 44 x 104cm, the 7ply wooden construction means the board is durable but lightweight. The VW/Osprey Classics 31" Double Kick Skateboard is high-quality, durable and lightweight to allow skaters to develop their flips and tricks. Ideal for all ages, the board is made from 7ply maple and strong black grip tape and its concave shape and double kick capability improves performance.
