Gold Award winners for fourth year running!

Winchester Caravans and Motorhomes have been awarded the Gold Award as a Supplying Dealer of New Caravans at the 2023 Practical Caravan Awards. This is the fourth year in a row that we’ve been awarded this prestigious accolade!

The results of the awards were announced at the annual Camping and Caravanning Club industry dinner on Thursday (8 December). This award demonstrates the exceptional levels of customer service that we consistently provide our customers with.

We primarily deal with the sale of new Swift and Bailey caravans, new Bailey motorhomes as well as a range of other pre-owned caravans, motorhomes and VW campervans in addition to accessories and awnings.

This year’s Gold Award was earned with an impressive score of 85.9%. Across all categories, Gold and Silver Awards are bestowed upon high achieving companies that show quality and consistency. Gold is gained by getting an average score of 80% or over. Silver requires a score between 70% and 80%.

The event, which was held at Silverstone, marked the seventh annual Owner Satisfaction Awards and the sixth set of awards the Club has run in partnership with Practical Motorhome and Practical Caravan magazines. 

The results are based completely on customer experience, coming from thousands of Club members and readers of Practical Motorhome and Practical Caravan magazines who completed the 2023 Owner Satisfaction Survey. The survey ran from the end of March until 23 October 2022. The survey gives customers the opportunity to have their say on their leisure vehicles, related products and buying/after sales experience.

Winchester Caravans and Motorhomes won Best Supplying Dealer of New Caravans in 2020, and in 2018 they were awarded Best Supplying Dealer of Pre-owned Caravans with a whopping score of 99.4%, an almost perfect score.

The event was attended by Winchester Caravans and Motorhomes Managing Director James Southwood, along with James Mainwaring, Trevor Egerton and Tom Adams.

James Mainwaring said: “It’s great that all the hard work that goes into giving our customers a positive experience has been recognised! Any customer-based award is special to the whole team, so to achieve the Gold Award for the fourth year running is something we’re all extremely proud of.”
