  This week is National Camping and Caravanning Week 2023 (29 May - 4 June) and this year’s event is celebrating the fact that camping officially makes you happier!

  The week, which is organised by The Camping and Caravanning Club, will celebrate the fact that camping officially makes you happier, according to the findings of a new study commissioned by themselves.

  We’re keen to speak to anyone looking to sell their leisure vehicle, regardless of the make or model, as long as it’s in good condition and ideally between 1 and 10 years old, though we may accept some older models. You don’t even have to be local to Hampshire - we will travel to you to collect (within reason!) so please do keep us in mind.

  The rules for towing a trailer or caravan with a car are changing this autumn. The changes will mean that anyone who passed their driving test after 1 January 1997 will be permitted to tow trailers (or caravans) up to 3,500kg MAM (maximum authorised mass) without having to take a separate test.

  Under previous rules, those who passed their standard driving test between 1 January 1997 and 18 January 2013 were allowed to drive a car or van up to 3,500kg MAM towing a trailer of up to 750kg MAM (up to 4,250kg in total) or tow a trailer over 750kg MAM, as long as it is no more than the unladen weight of the towing vehicle (up to 3,500kg in total).
